  4. Dont recommend for every day, but xylitol sweetened candies! They sell them at Whole Foods and Sunflower market. They taste great, look like traditional candies, come in lots of flavors, my girls like berry sparx. Chewable candies and gum available. Xylitol is a plant derived sweetener,it actually balances Ph in mouth and helps prevent tooth decay!

  6. For a healthier Halloween, make sure everyone eats something healthy and filling before trick'r'treating. Then, when y'all get home, have a healthy supper together before you start sorting the candy. We traditionally have beef vegetable soup and whole wheat rolls for supper on Halloween. asthenight at gmail dot com

  7. How about an activity? I took orange felt and cut out a pumpkin shape. Then I cut out different eyes, noses, mouths, and leaves. My son loves making his own pumpkin. It keeps him busy and is good for his imagination.
